Mrs. Melissa has been on staff with South Florida Dance Company for almost a decade. Before working with the Company, she was an involved dance mom. She was always willing to lend a hand with costuming and prop design. She has helped many dancers through the years by tailoring costumes specific to them and what the character role required.

Her son Andrew is an alum of SFDC and majored in Dance at the University of Florida and has since graduated from the University and moved to NYC where he continues to pursue a career in dance as a  choreography and performer. Her daughter Caitlyn is a senior and current dancer at SFDC. She has had much success as a member of Team SFDC. In the ’23-’24 competition season, her and her duet partner placed 1st Overall in their duet ‘Daylight’. Video Link posted below. There is no doubt that both Andrew and Caitlyn share Melissa’s love for Dance and the Arts as she demonstrates it everyday.

Mrs. Melissa will welcome you at the front desk and help dancers and parents navigate their way through dance life with her incredible organizational skills to receive all information needed for a successful dance year! She is a master of costuming and contributes her talents as a seamstress to each and every show and performance SFDC puts on.

She loves working with dancers and staff to help create a balanced atmosphere for learning and team building at SFDC!
