Come be a part of Team SFDC! We hold many Team social events and get-togethers throughout the season helping all team-mates regardless of age and level form the team bond that is crucial for success. We have hosted Team bonfires, lock-ins, weekend getaways sharing a huge rented home, game nights, and more! Save the drama for your mama! Team SFDC is a DRAMA FREE zone. We protect our uplifting and empowering environment with a zero tolerance studio wide policy for behavior.
All dancers, parents, and staff are held to a strict set of policies and guidelines in essence creating an oasis studio. So if you are looking for a Team that is supportive and united, you have come to the right place! If you’ve got skills, work ethic, and a positive attitude, WE WANT YOU!
We continue to place our primary focus on training and technique. Recently, we realized that competing is very beneficial to the dancer and the studio. Each competition dancers are adjudicated by three to four professionals. The experience has given dancers critique that they can apply in the classroom to better their individual skills and performance quality, both of which are important in the industry.
Our competition team started it’s 5th season with a BANG with our biggest team yet of 37 dancers! So far we have placed countless times in top 10 Overalls, we won our first team crystal and diamond awards, and were awarded the Diamond Studio Award at Nextstar Regional Dance Competition in Lakeland, Fl. Our studio now hold a prime spot in the coveted top tier Diamond Club!!!

* All dancers attending the team audition and committing for Team SFDC Competition Team must register for and take SFDC Summer Intensive.
* Dancers that are not yet a part of South Florida Dance with commitments through June are invited to our public team audition July 25, 2026 at 9:00am. Dancers making the team will be required to attend our Summer Intensive immediately following the audition. Click here for details.
There is a $50 non-refundable team audition fee. The fee will be applied towards the dancer(s) competition choreography fees.
We understand the decision to audition for a new team while still committed elsewhere can present challenges to dancers wishing to audition for our team. We respect their prior commitments before auditioning at SFDC which is why we hold a separate Public audition after Nationals and Worlds Competition dates.
So what does the Team Audition look like? Dancers audition and are placed according to level (Levels 1-3) based on a rubric guideline we have designed for optimal success. Each dancer’s journey is unique and leveling dancers by a skill assessed rubric at audition allows each dancer to progress at the time frame optimal for them individually while allowing them to have a positive and fair experience as a member of our team.
