Joneik “Ms. Nikki” began her training at South Florida Dance Company at 14. She cross trained in multiple styles placing a strong focus in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz. Joneik attended Indian River State College where she majored in Biology and minored in Dance on Scholarship. She is a company member of Wings to Fly Dance Company which provides a unique opportunity for integration through dance and movement with dancers of varied physical and cognitive abilities.
She has been teaching with SFDC for a few years and has enjoyed choreographing for SFDC’s annual holiday production, ‘A Christmas Carol’, performed at the Lyric Theater. Ms Nikki loves sharing her passion of dance with the dancers at SFDC and has a special ability in teaching dancers how to feel, emote, and develop a character while performing . She is pleased to share this unique artistry developed within herself over her years of dancing, teaching, and choreographing with the dancers at SFDC!
