Jazz dance uses both Ballet and Modern technique; however it gives the freedom of movement and the opportunity to use a wide range of music to create fun and intricate combinations to upbeat and exciting music. This is the class where students can let loose, take their bun down, and have fun while learning all the newest leaps, turns, and relevant combinations. It’s where ballet and modern technique and training combine in the most explosive and exciting way! Instructors get to share their passion for performance and train students how to master athleticism in dance.
We highly recommend that students have past Ballet training or train in Ballet simultaneously in order to optimize their training potential in Jazz. Most of it’s terminology in stems from Ballet vocabulary.
We offer classes for students ages 6 through early college.
